VLT Achieves 64% Reduction in Operating Costs Yesterday, Volt Lithium Corp. (TSXV: VLT | OTCQB: VLTLF) a 64% reduction in operating costs at the Demonstration Plant for its unique Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology. W/ this VLT closed in the green on over 2x its average volume today.
Volt has optimized its DLE technology to process oilfield brine from its Rainbow Lake Project at unprecedented cost-efficiency levels. This cost reduction supports robust margins even within the sometimes volatile landscape of lithium pricing.
Alex Wylie, President & CEO of Volt, expressed confidence in the company's trajectory, stating, "Volt is well on our way to becoming the low-cost commercial producer of battery-grade lithium from oilfield brines in North America."
Recent testing at the Demonstration Plant revealed an increase in lithium extraction rates, soaring from 90% to 98% since May 2023.
Furthermore, Volt's DLE process boasts an impressive ability to remove 99% of impurities from brine before processing, ensuring the production of a high-quality eluate containing 90% lithium carbonate, allowing existing third-party refiners to further process into battery-grade lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide.
As Volt continues to advance its proprietary DLE technology, it stands poised to reshape the future of lithium production from oilfield brines.
In a world increasingly reliant on lithium for powering the future, Volt is emerging as a leader in innovation, spearheading the shift towards a more sustainable and electrified future.
