On the positive side, I had averaged down on AXU after the BS detector was flashing red in early '22 (supposedly everything was running just fine - then the sudden shutdown surprise until we restart later in the year, all this while the sale was being negotiated).
But - holding Hecla and trading a couple of times after the share conversion I made double digit good bucks. Not quite as good as the $40+K I was up in the early days,pre-2009, when they hadn't even started construction (The Lassonde Curve is your friend ...), but good.
Hecla's actually a pretty good company and I like them - they actually lay things out in a convervative way and don't seem to overpromise.
If anyone can make a buck off this, they can. They've been around over a 130 years, so there's that.
