RE:Released S-K 1300 Technical Report Summary on KHMBig read, all very interesting, and the first takeaway that caught my attention is Section 1.7:
"All deposits are characterized by high grades, narrow vein widths, and challenging ground conditions.", something I don't ever remember hearing during the life of Alexco except after the sale when Nauman mentioned that HL were proficient in 'narrow vein deposits'. I could stand corrected.
Alexco successfully ran at ~250 tpd starting in 2010 until shutdown by 2013, made money at high dollar silver (25+ to briefly even 50) but shut down in 2013 and took $60MM impairment charge due to the declining price of silver. The plan at that time was to restart in 2014-15 but silver prices said no, and who can predict that? The next maybe 7 years were spent roughly doubling throughput mill capacity to 450tpd (but not feed?) and waiting for higher Ag prices.
The second takeaway is in Tables 13-7, 13-8 and 13-9, production.
Lucky Queen starts in 9 years, 2033 through 2034, about 3MM oz Ag
Flame and Moth starts in 2027 through 2033, about 11MM oz. Ag at about 1.5MM oz/year Ag.
Bermingham runniing now through 2033, about 40MM oz. Ag at about 4+MM oz/year Ag.
