RE:hobbs2969MDX has a tremendous product but do people want to pay out of pocket to find out that they have skin cancer or a cancerous mole?. Why was MDX never able to get OHIP to cover the cost of this procedure at the very start and then place Sciascopes in every other province and territory in Canada? MDX should have placed a sciascope in every doctor's office in Canada for free. If an individual came to their doctor to see if they had a cancerous lesion, they could have had a picture of the lesion taken, and then received a report from a dermatologist within 72 hours and proceed to have the lesion removed at their convenience.. I can only assume that the Government of Ontario did not want to spend their health care money to identify and then remove a cancerous lesion at an early stage because if everyone accessed this service it may have cost them a ton of money. But if the cancer was diagnosed at stage four, the Government of Ontario would have to pay dearly for the cost of trying to save someone's life, and the patient would suffer unnecessarily.
I sometimes wonder how the clinics in the Netherlands are doing. There must be 8 to 10 clinics that use the MDX Sciascope to detect cancer at an early stage. Do we ever hear about them? No. Do we ever hear about Brazil's implementation of the Sciascope? No again. What ever happened to implementation in Mexico? How about Italy and the United Arab Emirates?
MDX came up with the Sciascope, but failed in the implementation phase and for that I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of management.
