What some posters need to instead of dismissing scientific studies - having absolutely zero expert experience themselves, is research that kind of thing before putting their own uninformed opinion forward.

If you recall there was a letter of recommendation put forward to the DEA to reschedule cannabis ASAP.
The un-redacted version of that letter later become public and it contained apx 40 studies citing the medical benefits of cannabis for users. A quick Google search will bring that up for you. I would think your concern is being brought up by someone who is still mis-informed / out of date on cannabis. It's cute though, write into the guy and ask him if he thinks the earth is round or flat.
