RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:You should readYouknowwhat,
I've always pondered the very possibility being that Dow Chemical Company would be an American company (#2 globally) wanting to bring mass industrial scale graphite to graphene manufacturing and a large suite of graphene enhanced products manufacturing to the industrial masses globally.
It goes without saying that two primary aspects or obstacles standing in the way of a company such as Dow Chemical or even a company like BASF (#1 globally) to bring mass industrial scale graphite to graphene manufacturing (4,000 tpa manufacturing capacity presently and within no more than 3 years closer to 16,000 tpa merely to begin with) and a large and leading suite of graphene enhanced products manufacturing to the industrial masses globally.
Such two primary aspects or obstacles standing in the way of a company like the Dow Chemical Company or a company like BASF would be a most specific suite of Intellectual Properties/trade secrets and the requirement to gain unfettered access to at least 50 to 100 years worth of bonafide and bankable graphite reserves existing within North America epecially and also throughout the world, perhaps doing so at an overall invested cost of about $2.6 Billion.
Putting to work $2.6 Billion today, so as to gain a future "cornering" of the natural flake graphite exploration and mines development segment outside of China and in order to corner the global position of graphene manufacturing dominance in bringing an unparalleled suite of graphene enhanced products to the global industrial market place outside of China . . .
Suffice to say that proposition is a steal for a mere $2.6 Billion invested.
Heck, Elon Musk can scratch that amount of capital off his elbow on a bad day. I expect so too could companies like Dow Chemicals Company, BASF or perhaps even the largest UAE investments company, Dubai Investments Fund?
Understand that the Canadian Federal Government has partnered with the Government of the UAE (see "The Cement and Concrete Breakthrough" decarboization initiative), along with the governments of Germany, UK and Turkey having joined the initiative.
UAE investments funds would invest $10 Billion in a single day to corner the Graphite mining and the graphene manufacturing to graphene enhanced products industry outside of China.
