The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. grey market trades just improve liquidity for large institutional traders as the shares can be listed invisably rather than the tsx order book. as retail investors our orders cross the dark pool/grey market as well thru automatic routing systems, it's not really a secret advantage but often used by large institutional traders to buy / sell large amounts without influencing the share/unit price or letting the market know such large lots are for sale or being bought.
