Our monthly CIBC Airline Traffic Monitor provides an update on air traffic trends and key observations in commercial passenger traffic, business aviation and air cargo.

Business Jet Traffic Steady; Still Trending Above 2019 Levels: According to Radarbox, global business jet departures totalled 300,160 in February, up 1% M/M and up 2% Y/Y. Global business jet traffic remains 38% above 2019 levels. In the U.S. (the biggest business jet market), business jet activity was up 4% M/M and down 1% Y/Y. U.S. business jet traffic in February was 37% above its respective 2019 level. We continue to see BBD aircraft traffic perform better than industry in the month – BBD aircraft activity was up 1% M/M and up 8% Y/Y.
