"The miners of "Resavica" perform the same hard work as the miners who work in other companies that have already received a salary increase. At the initiative of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vui, we managed to ensure that both the miners and other employees of "Resavica" receive a 10 percent salary increase, and through negotiations with management and unions, we managed to find a model for the increase to come from Resavica's planned own revenues. without increasing subsidies," said edovi Handanovi.
She pointed out that the state's position is that taking care of the financial aspects of the business must go hand in hand with taking care of the miners. "We are all aware of how difficult and challenging work in the mine is in itself and that it is of great importance to help those who perform one of the most difficult jobs, without which neither development nor progress would be possible." Also, as a rule, the Resavice mines are the largest or among the largest employers in their municipalities and have a greater impact on the local economy - in Sjenica, Despotovac, Sokobanja...which makes their stable operations even more important," the minister said.
She said that the common interest of the Government, the company and its employees is for Resavica to operate sustainably, to work on increasing productivity, modernizing production and improving the safety of miners.
"The state has been allocating huge funds for years, last year it already found a way to increase miners' wages, but we will continue to work together on other issues as well, because improving business and productivity is the most important prerequisite for the company to function more stably." Before the expiration of the existing collective agreement, the new systematization of the company should be completed, which will contribute to increased efficiency and possible savings," said edovi Handanovi.
The minister stated that safety and health protection at work remain the main priority of JPPEU Resavica in order to minimize the risks to which employees are exposed.
