The lack of coverage from brokers is puzzling but creates great opportunities for us!

The Scotia info just scratches the surface, of course.  I have done the same as you, building models to try to understand pricing across issues and issuers. 

At this point, I can comfortably conclude that I don't understand a damn thing -- why are floaters so cheap vs. theoretical, why are perpetuals so expensive vs. fixed resets, why are prefs so cheap vs. bonds, is Mr. Market missing important terms in some issues?
