Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. Canadian E&Ps need to take note... to attract foreign investment and firms, the market expects a higher dividend. The traditional belief of BNN and pundits suggesting dividends above 6% is excessive is false. We need significant dividends to compel firms and investors to continue investing in the sector.  Canadian E&P companies must do their part to attract foreign investment to support a healthy and vibrant sector of the economy.  This is the greatest weapon they have against the attacks from Ottawa and foreign NGOs.  Make the sector an absolutely compelling investment that can't be ignored.
