My wife & I have held BCE since May 15, 2009. Our intital buy price was $24,15 but we've been adding all the way along. We now have a
paper loss of $24.1k but we have collected a total of $81.7k in dividends. Part of these dividends have gone towards our living expenses and part have gone towards buying more dividend generating shares. This has meant that we have been increasing our annual dividend income since we retired. In fact, since rerirement in mid-2013, are annual dividend income has increased by 2.5 times.
With our huge annual dividend income, there is virtually no chance we will run out of money and pretty much a 100% chance that we will never need to sell anything if we don;t want to. And all of this is with totally stress free investing!!
As an aside (and as I;ve previously mentioned), my wife & I are 100% invested in 12 TSX listed stocks: KEY,PPL,ENB,TRP, EMA,CPX, BCE,T, RY,TD,BMO,BNS ahd have no plans of ever selling any of what we hold.
In the end, each to his/her own.

great investment over the last 9 years for the bagholders who got their dividend but not getting any stock price higher value. Never never fall in love with a stock this is a non emotional game.
fix yourself a return in percentage and walk away when you get.
prbably a better timing to get in for new comer but slowly as nobody knows where we are heading
some mgmnt should buy a bag and start to where it before the playoffs
