Telecom sectorWe can't look at BCE in isolation. The entire telecom has been underperforming for quite a while. Late last year there was hope that interest rats would come down fast. Now the narrative is yes to small interest cuts later this year and then staying higher ( than an entire generation of investors is used to ie near zero rates). At any time that narrative can change. The key is to be diversified. I own BCE but also gold, energy, etc. Telecoms just like long suffering utilities will be back in favour but not until the inflation/interest rates narrative changes. Until it does collect the dividend and make capital gains elsewhere.
