Commentary

CommentaryStock price perked up last week. Reasons unknown.

Don't know much about Ksi Lisims LNG power demand. I guess 750MW.  (The Cedar LNG will use 180MW but for 3 million tonnes vs 12 million for Ksi Lisims. I multipled by 4).

BC Hydro say they have enough power for Cedar LNG. But do they have enough for Lsi Lisims in the short-term?

These projects involve 40 years of operation. But windfarm 20-25 year life span. Floating windfarms in the future? Hydrogen made with sea water without desalination. Can this work for onshore facilities so don't have to look for a fresh water source.

Oceanic talks about green hydrogen in their recent MD&A. The billion dollar fuel export facility (Vopak Terminal) and Trigon BC is developing a second terminal on Ridley Island. For shipping green fuels, hydrogen and ammonia and biofuels. So will need production of hydrogen/ammonia from local renewable energy projects.

Maybe produce green nitrogen for fertilizer export, to help decarbonize the world's agricultural sector.

Transmission line construction is another issue. But if others are planning to build a 2360 mile undersea cable from Morocco to the UK, could not for example connect Lsi Lisims project by undersea cable?

A lot of material and options to consider. Require input from industry and their plans for the region. Shipping traffic, both marine and rail will increase. The provincial gov't has to be involved also.

Continue with consultations. The magnitude of industrialization proposed is significant. So are environmental concerns.
