RE:Excellent For Axe If Trudeau Doesnt Bend On Raising Carbon

RE:Excellent For Axe If Trudeau Doesnt Bend On Raising Carbon August 15th 2023 Suncor sold its solar and wind division for $730 million all to reposition to potentially acquire existing wells that do 0 to very little in regards to offset environmental damage. I would suspect they are using horizontal drilling which helps and allows the possibility to capture more oil as from the previous vertical drilling that left those amounts behind and was more destructive to the environment. Natural gas is another thing like ethanol. It may be cleaner burning than heavy oil but the amount of energy needed to extract etc is really high so are its costs so i was and never have been in favor to shale thats all a stupid thing all over again and was a massive disaster for the governments in BC to have pursued it in the very late 90s early 00s where US and Australia were way ahead and it became a glutted oversupply race to the bottom to feed the Chinese market.

Stupidly under the BC Liberals the Site C dam was a project to the natural gas was bwing built...one of 4 dams from my recollection and where it was touted to be run by cleaner energy like steam generated from hydro runoff. What was later discovered was to get energy ftom next door Alberta based off coal generation and the excuse was it would be over the night and intermittently. Boy people lie a lot in making their sales and touting things and the Governments are the least to be trusted and biggest culprits looking for short term things without fuly and properly understanding them so what happens is the debacle like the site C Dam.

Now when it comes to corporate image i would say it would be far better for large companies to give out awards funding to promising emerging clean techs on an annual basis and dont seek any shares or monetary intetest in them just be a proud sponsor of those who show promise and win an open competition that way your hands are clean in potentially making money as well as doing whatever it is in terms of publicly traded companies again keeping your hands clean. The fundings can be 5 to 10 million divided in 1 to 2 million chunks. And picture this Suncor the proud sponsor of this years cleantech energy award winner(s). You get word out about backing clean tech eyes on those companies and dont put huge amounts of monies at any given time and are not seen driven by something for something beyond being a very responsible corporate citizen which comes back favorable to you despite not making any money from it. When people make money many others say well no wonder they did it things are seen as tainted even if it is an overall win for evetyone.

Noe the Pathway Alliance commercials ring very shallow because all it states ftom my recollection is investing in a cleaner future moving forward.. ok so what and how what have you done other than sell off your alt division to buy existing oil wells!! And if in carbon capture they are as was mentioned in the Axe video years away complicated very expensive and require more research to actually have a commercially viable plant or any meaningful impact on a mass level so we are going with stupid government officials who tout things looking short term only to end up in a fiasco like that of natural gas in the Site C BC dam or the ethanol debacle when will people learn. Governments should be smart and promote existing clean tech a little on other really expetimental ones like carbon capture. This whole stupid government promoting is also ringing true with what happened with Solandra in the US. The US govetnments under botb Obama and Trump sunk close to a billion dollars in Solandra only for it to collapse???!! Just how stupid is government putting all the eggs in one basket of one sector when they should really spread the risk despite sure i get that Solandra looked like the best shot but still very short sighted and stupid. They could have easily spread the risk over 100s of companies and maybe 1 or more would have succeeded but this is just how stupid and short sighted governments are. They tout something expect an immediate home run and dont seem to understand time frames associated but really they dont care because they see in 2 to 4 year terms hype up things get people to buy in and as long as things look good and seem like they are the wise environmental choices they bank on being re-elected with cares for the environment and other things to run their campaigns on yet these moves srldom prove beneficial longer term. In Canada to date and to my knowledge we still dont have a comprehensive natiin wide energy plan where there needs to be more focus on getting impartial scientists together and coming to a consensus on a viable one taking into account all the energy sources and seeing their strengths and weaknesses coming up with the best possible energy mix. As i said in the past as i hold now and will continue to hold no one or few energies will replace entirely another like alt energy completely getting rid of fossil fuels. The science clearly doesnt support this at all at least not conclusively yet. The reason for this is simple no one energy source is perfect without any drawbacks.

In any case, lots of time energy and money is being spent by both governments and private companies abd joint private public entities yet wasted in that the focus has been seen as a controversial one of energy interests not of one looking properly at the pros and cos and how to use each effectively as a proper mix. The key to energy is drawing smartly from all spurces in the right ways and clearly state how that it will be done not again i will harp back on it the site C natural gas dam...that was sneaky and trying to sell a cleaner solution to the public and pulling the wool over peoples eyes not good at all. Be honest abticipate thigs or say as we are looig to transition to cleaner energy it is likely we will still need to use other not as clean sources to get there something to that effect just be bloody honest and withit otherwise dont nothet. That was a huge mess and rightly the provincial libersls got quite the backlash for it.
