RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Here's a beautyWith all due respect - what I said was comparing numbers generated in 2017 to costs incurred over the last number of years is ridiculous and that the only reason one would publish such numbers is to elicit responses based on anger.

Additionally, I did not say 'who knew' to inflation ocurring. I would suggest you re-read. I said who knew prior to covid that such a bump in inflation was going to occur. Did I say I didn't think it would happen? Nope. In fact '21 I pulled out a very hefty refinance at an incredibly low rate the principal of which is now invested in GICs at twice the mortgage rate. In '17 I would never have contemplated this, but in that timeline it was easily apparent what was to come.

Here's a little tid bit on inflation world-wide in 22 and 23. Out of 113 true countries listed the average inflation rate was 16.75% with a median of 10.25%.  If it's all leftist, lap-dog, socialist, WEF (how did I know you would bring this up=), government issue, then please show me the government that got it right....

I feel as though you are mistakingly or purposely intermixing governement policy with those of the federal reserve or BoC; attempting to blur the lines of responsbility such that you can point to the defiler of your choosing.

I am pretty much done with this convo. I appreciate some of the items you have contributed in the past and will miss them in the future.
