Good News: Enel has commissioned Largo 1.1-MW VFB It's official. LCE's first sale has now been commissioned. This is the first step in establishing a long term relationship with Enel Green Power Espana in particular and will open the door for more sales in the energy storage industry in general. Indeed very good news.
Why is there no NR issued by Largo?

Enel Green Power Espana, the renewables division of Spanish utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE), has commissioned a vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) of 1.1 MW/5.5 MWh at its Son Orlandis solar farm on the Balearic island of Mallorca.
This is the company's first battery energy storage system that is not based on the lithium-ion technology, and it is also the largest VRFB in Europe, Endesa said on Monday.
Endesa collaborated with Largo Clean Energy, the manufacturer of the VCHARGE± charging system, to realise the BESS project.
This type of battery boasts a useful lifespan of over 20 years with minimal degradation and presents significant advantages, particularly for long-duration storage needs exceeding six hours, the utility said.
The battery is charged by the 3.34-MWp Son Orlandis solar farm, which Endesa’s renewables division commissioned in the second half of 2022.
The Son Orlandis solar-plus-storage scheme received a subsidy from the Spanish state as part of the SolBal incentives programme for the Balearic Islands, which was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
