RE:OLD MAN THINKINGFor us OLD people that were working in the late 70s/early 80s, I can guarantee you that the only thing that got inflation under control was sky high interest rates. Our mortgage rate in the early 80s was 20%.
I think Karl has some really valid points that inflation is harder to tame than most people think and that's under normal circumstances. Toss in the brain-dead liberals throwing money away, running huge deficits, cramming the carrbn tax down our throats, trying to kill the best Cdn industry (oil & gas) and losing those revenues, and look out below on where we're headed and what it;s going to take to get out of this mess.
