Think Research Corporation V.THNK

Think Research Corporation is a Canada-based company that offers digital health software solutions. It is a provider of cloud-based data, knowledge, and software solutions primarily delivered as software-as-a-service (SaaS) to healthcare delivery systems and the practitioners that they support. Its operations are organized into three lines of business: Software and Data Solutions, Clinical Research, and Clinical Services. Its SaaS solutions help patients find, navigate, and connect to health services across large governments and payer clients, while also ensuring safety for prescribed medications at pharmacies. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, BioPharma Services Inc., the Company provides research data and analysis derived from Phase I clinical trials, bioequivalence studies and bioanalytical services. Its clinics act as a test bed for its software and technology, transforming them with digital solutions that optimize clinical outcomes, streamline workflows, and optimize billing.

RE:RE:Speculative Theory

RE:RE:Speculative TheoryI think you meant to say "Total fun overthink" :)

You're probably right that Well Health was likely contacted before the deal with Beedie was struck. Regardless, given how badly WELL's stock was hit post earnings today and also looking at some of the company's updated strategic priorities it seems unlikely that they would put in a superior bid for THNK.

Also as an aside it looks like both Echelon and Desjardins have officially dropped coverage of THNK and both have commented in their most recent notes that Beedie is simply in too strong of a position for another bidder/offer to materialize. What floors me is that THNK's management repeatedly drew down on the Beedie facility even when they knew a sale of the company was likely (and the Board let them do it). Call me crazy but it sure smells like collusion between management and Beedie – Beedie is put into the position of having significant influence on the company and thus buys THNK for a rock bottom price. Meanwhile management gets to keep their jobs AND shares!
