Major oil and gas companies are failing to align their business plans with Paris Agreement's goals, a new report finds

The report is from the 
financial climate think tank Carbon Tracker.

Hair on fire.  The children won't behave.  I ask...did the oil companies sign the Paris Agreement? 

Saudi Aramco's CEO nailed the need for a realistic collabrative approach to climate change when he said, "
"We should abandon the fantasy of phasing out oil and gas and instead invest in them adequately, reflecting realistic demand assumptions," 

O&G is a significant part of my investment portfolio and I don't see that changing any time soon.  M&A activity is running at a fever pitch in the sector.  Big oil is spending billions - a bet that cannot be based on the eradication of its current product.
