New battery tech WON'T solve EV charging problems

New battery tech WON'T solve EV charging problems

it's just Ohm Law 101

If you want to charge up a 60 kWh EV in 5 minutes, like tesla that uses 400V, the charging cable will be carrying 1800A.  Imagine letting general public like a soccer mom to charge her EV at this massive energy transfer rate. You notice that EV charging stations have no canopy. Would you feel safe charging your EV during a rain storm at those rate?? LOL  There is a reason why american household standard only allowed 15-30A at 120V breaker for the general public.

A regular gas pump station pumps at a rate of 337 kWh/min or 1685 kWh in 5 mins,  or 10.7 seconds needed to achieve 60 kWh worth of regular gas with excellent safety track record.  ICE and EV fill up comparison is not even close.
