Spectral Medical Inc. is a Canada-based late-stage theragnostic company advancing therapeutic options for sepsis and septic shock. The Company develops and commercializes a treatment for septic shock utilizing its Endotoxin Activity Assay (EAA) diagnostic and the Toraymyxin therapeutic (PMX). PMX is a therapeutic hemoperfusion device that removes endotoxin, which can cause sepsis, from the bloodstream and is guided by the Company’s EAA. PMX is approved for therapeutic use in Japan and Europe and has been used safely and effectively on more than 340,000 patients to date. It has pioneered the development of biochemical markers for the clinical syndrome known as septic shock. It is continuing its legacy business of manufacturing and selling certain proprietary reagents. It develops, produces and markets recombinant proteins, antibodies and calibrators. These materials are sold for use in research and development, as well as in products manufactured by other diagnostic companies.

Of the proverbial 5 W's...

the the FUD gang always moans about the least important one

When? Running Trials are complex. As if they could do better. If you're in search of a 10X bagger what's another couple of months ( or years for the sister opportunity?)

I say the remaining 4 W's are far more important :

What ? A new FDA approved solution to save 10''s of thousands of NA lives every year ( and improve the quality of life for many tens of thousands more)
Where? In the US ( and Canada) where the most money per capita is spent on healthcare.... and the toughest market in which to land a medical breakthrough. No competition!
Why? Because it's probably the largest untapped opportunity next to cancer
Who.? Baxter, Toray, Mayo Clinic, UCLA, Kellum, Walker, Ronco, Birch Hill, etc . ( honorable mention the AB80 ;)
