RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Carnac the magnificant predicts I emailed IR two weeks ago asking when they anticipated releasing results. I am still waiting for a response to my email...
I have been watching Sedar over the past week and have noted a few companies announcing delays on their annual filings.
Behind the scenes, I suspect that things are progressing positively with the macro level themes in PNG. This includes comments from Exxon, the PNG government, and even Qantas announcing a direct flight route between Sydney and Port Moresby. The PNG Government acknowledged that the FID would be delayed for a few months due to higher costs associated with Total's upstream component of the project and their desire to review plans and re-tender in order to cut costs.
My guess is also that the Return of Capital will be at a lower amount than was previously announced. I think that somewhere between $0.30 and $0.50 is more reasonable of an expectation. This will be based on the Canadian operations desire to grow and the potential working capital needs of PNG.
Best of luck,
LR
