Taranis Resources Inc. V.TRO

Alternate Symbol(s):  TNREF

Taranis Resources Inc. is a mineral exploration company. The Company is principally engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of precious and base metal projects. The Company owns a 100% interest in certain mineral rights entitled the Thor Property located in the Revelstoke Mining District of British Columbia, Canada and holds certain contiguous mineral claims. It has drilled over 250 drill holes on the project, defining a near-surface epithermal deposit that is over 2 km long. The Thor project is a collection of over 27 Crown Granted Mineral Claims and approximately 14 Mineral Tenures covering approximately 3,314 hectares, which forms a contiguous property over the Thor precious and base metal Deposit. The Company, together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in acquiring and exploring its mineral properties.

Taranis website shows:

HORIZONTAL CROSS SECTION

Picture
Horizontal Slice (plan map) through the Thor epithermal deposit showing showing resistivity data for 1440-1480 mASL elevation. Epithermal deposit shown in magenta, resistive areas (>330 ohm*m) in pink, and conductive areas (<140 ohm*m) in warm colors. Total magnetic intensity is shown in contours.

The Thor epithermal deposit bears a very close spatial relationship to a large magnetic body (contoured) that is shown in the adjacent figure. The axis of this feature is shown and trends northwest, and cross-cuts the Silver Cup Anticline (trend of bedding) indicating it is younger than the folding event that produced the Silver Cup Anticline. Although the source of this magnetic feature remains unknown, one drill hole (Thor-74) passed over the top of the concealed magnetic feature that is suspected to be an intrusive body. It is suspected that this concealed intrusive subsequently formed the Thor epithermal deposit in the sedimentary wall rocks.

The resistive feature under and around the epithermal deposit has a peculiar "crab claw" shape, and connects the epithermal deposit with the deeper magnetic feature. This area is suspected to be a strong area of quartz, andalusite alteration that overlies the concealed intrusive.

Of particular note is the northwest extension of the Thor epithermal deposit where it passes directly over the North Tusk conductivity feature. It is in this area that Taranis made the discovery of the Thunder Zone in 2021 under a rockslide. In 2022, Drill Hole Thor-231 intersected a new type of mineralization in a breccia zone that is believed to be connected to the underlying North Tusk conductivity feature. This shows considerable promise that the North Tusk Conductivity anomaly is mineralized, and could form a large tonnage, bulk mineable type deposit. A similar situation is known to exist south of the Broadview Mine, but it occurs much deeper below the surface.
