RE:RE:...YGR seems awfully cheap...The reserve numbers are the best estimate of NAV available on an industry wide basis. There is reasonable consistency in the evaluation methods provided by NI 5101 which every company is required to follow. The bigger question is why do retail investors ignore these numbers when they are given so much prominence by the industry itself. For ygr to be trading at less than 1/3 of pdp reserves and companies like Bte to be trading at close to to 2x shows a great ignorance by retail investors of the underlying valuations which these companies themselves go to great pains to explain. As a former of reserves committees of a major public company, I view this disconnect as a great identifier if hidden value. Oil and gas valuation for me is about the assets abd his is why ygr is my largest holding. Over time that disconnect driven by sentiment will be resolved in favour of fundamental value.
