I worked in Florida in the 90s. Both the Royal and the Toronto Dominion traded weakly on the US. Toronto dominion in particular sounds like a small regional bank. When they changed their branding to their current acronyms (TD and RBC) they bounced up.
the danger with what you are saying is it implies the risk appetite in both markets is the same. Which in turn implies the after tax exposure is the same. Respectfully I tell you this is certainly not true.
