Western Copper and Gold Corporation is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is engaged in developing the Casino Project. The Casino Project is a copper-gold mining project in Yukon, Canada. The Casino porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposit is located in west central Yukon, in the northwest trending Dawson Range mountains, approximately 300 kilometers (km) northwest of the territorial capital of Whitehorse. The Casino project is located on Crown land administered by the Yukon Government and is within the Selkirk First Nation traditional territory and the Tr’ondek Hwechin traditional territory lies to the north. The Casino Property lies within the Whitehorse Mining District and consists of approximately 1,136 full and partial Quartz Claims and 55 Placer Claims acquired in accordance with the Yukon Quartz Mining Act. The total area covered by Casino Quartz Claims is approximately 21,126.02 hectares (ha). The total area covered by Casino Placer Claims is 490.34 ha.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Rio / Mitsubishi top upsNot with 10% interest. That alone opens the door for others to walk in and offer bids. I think Sandeep will bring on new bidders to light a fire under Rio's bottom and create competition for them. Ideally we would be best served as shareholders by a bidding war for the asset. It may spur Rio to offer a bid sooner than later if they feel threatened on owning this mine. They've spent a ton of time up there so they believe in the asset and other majors see that. If I was a another bidder I would hold out until near the end and walk in with a bid. We can only wait and see, but I don't see Rio or MM combined having a stranglehold at this time. If anything other majors should have their antennas up seeing how long Rio has been a part of this, and MM joining up.
