Data on cannabis for medical purposes

As you can see the medical cannabis in Canada is just a small declining percentage. Not being legal for recreation use leaves a void from the bigger usage market of recreational and by time anyone gets a Doctors note for it will be a year.

Data on medical client registrations

Highlights for the current update include:

  • The number of medical client registrations with federally licensed sellers fell 8% from 203,933 in June 2023 to 188,301 in September 2023.
  • The number of individuals registered with Health Canada for personal and designated cultivation of cannabis for their own medical purposes decreased 12% from 16,778 in June 2023 to 14,944 in September 2023.
  • The majority of the decrease of 1,834 in registrations for personal/designated production is from three Provinces: Ontario with a decrease of 608 registrations, British Columbia with 427 and Quebec with 347.
