I have no problem with posters who have been bullish on SIC, continue to be bullish, and/or admit their mistakes in being overconfident too early in game but have decided to stick with the stock (or sell it at a loss). Like you said, sometimes early hype can get the best of investors.
My post was focused on a specific individual (BC) who felt the need to deflect from his bad calls on SIC by boasting about other stocks he claims to have made big money on. If true, good for him. If false, doesn't matter (and I doubt any reader / poster on this BB cares either). In my view, such bragging shows insecurity as it's irrelevant to the topic at hand. If he was talking about other names in the sector (junior exploration-stage or first mine build microcap companies), that's fair and even useful as some in here might be looking for other ideas in this space. Conversely, talking about his alleged big wins other sectors not even remotely similar to the mining sector after the fact isn't exactly useful information to those currently invested in SIC or other names in mining.
