Fortune Minerals Limited is a mining company. It is engaged in the exploration and development of mineral properties in Canada. It is focused on developing the NICO Cobalt-Gold-Bismuth-Copper Project in the Northwest Territories and Alberta that produces a bulk concentrate for shipment to a refinery that it plans to construct in southern Canada. It also owns the satellite Sue-Dianne copper-silver-gold deposit located 25 kilometers (km) north of the NICO Deposit and is a potential future source of incremental mill feed to extend the life of the NICO mill and concentrator. It also maintains the right to repurchase the Arctos anthracite coal deposits in northwest British Columbia. It also has a 100% interest in these 116 hectares of property south of Great Slave Lake with copper, silver, gold, lead and zinc showings. It has a 1% net smelter royalty covering 78 hectares of land positioned in a former silver mining district, located south of the Eldorado mining district at Great Bear Lake.

Procon Announces CEO Appointment
 
Procon Group of Companies is pleased to announce the appointment of John Schadan as Chief Executive Officer effective May 1, 2024.
 
John is a mining executive with an accomplished track record of leading resource and energy project operations within Canada and the US. He brings a balanced mix of project execution and operational experience, technical breadth, and promotes purposeful intentions towards safety and client relationships.
 
John has over 35 years of mining experience gained in the western Canadian and US mining regions. John’s experience spans a variety of disciplines including mine engineering, operations, environmental and regulatory approvals, business development, contract negotiations, establishing joint venture partnerships and building trusting relationships with Indigenous communities. 
 
Prior to joining Procon, John was President of Conuma Resources Limited located in northeast British Columbia and prior to that, Westmoreland Mining where he was President and COO.
 
John holds a B.Sc., Mining Engineering degree from Queen’s University and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He is a national member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, a former member of the Board of Directors with the Mining Association of British Columbia and the former Chair of the Board of the Coal Association of Canada.
