Re. NFG / LAB deal:
NFG didn't buy the entire company, just LAB's Kingsway project which is adjacent to NFG's Queensway project and caught the part of the Appleton Fault that NFG didn't already have claim to in that area, so it makes some sense for NFG to acquire that land package on the cheap, though LAB has come up with next to nothing so far re. drilling at Kingsway.
Conversely, SIC's Moosehead project is located a ways away from NFG, and Queensway is so big that a lot of exploration work still needs to be done to cover all the prospective zones in addition to the Kingsway claims.
