The INK CIN Index underperformed most major North American indices last week due to oil & gas stock weakness. The INK CIN Index fell 2.4% for the week ended May 3, 2024, leaving it up 11.0% so far in 2024. The laggards were Wajax (Mostly Sunny; WJX), down 18.0%, Obsidian Energy (Sunny; OBE), down 11.0%, and Baytex Energy (Mostly Sunny; BTE), down 10.1%. The leaders were Brookfield (Sunny; BN), up 4.2%, Fairfax Financial (Mostly Sunny; FFH), up 3.8%, and CI Financial (Sunny; CIX), up 3.4%.
