RE:Argentina spuds first offshore well

also of interest is the Tungsten Explorer is off the coast of Congo drilling a well for Total energies and Woodside, as we have heard these guys sharing info among themselves which possibly ends in some kinda partnership down the line. The Deepsea Mira is the only rig moving and it's seems to be heading in the wrong direction, maybe they are just making some xtra money pulling a parachute behind rig for the tourists.

other than the farm-down of pel 83 or Woodside exercising their option conditions seem to be calm for a bit until the cork gets pop on the champagne.

Niamou Marine IX – Congo

TotalEnergies and global energy company Woodside Energy will drill the deepwater Niamou-1 well in the Marine XX block offshore the Republic of the Congo. The well will target approximately 1,400 million barrels of oil and more than 2.7 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas resources, boosting Congo’s maturing hydrocarbon reserves. The block was acquired by TotalEnergies in 2020, with the supermajor preparing drilling activities by mid-2024.
