RE:RE:New Independent Tests T.BBAll other remarks attacking management or otherwise denigrating the company aside that is the Right Question Joey67.
Yes, we can reasonably wonder about expense structure and marketing /product development decisions through the past too many years since RIM regrettably dismissed, misjudged Apple and others.
Easy with the benefit of hindsight to call out the mistakes and floundering.
However, none of the errors were intentional, planned or malicious.
Very bright people reached incorrect conclusions and didn't change course in a timely manner.
Accordingly the huge player BB was has had to try to play catch-up, restore client and market confidence, build their niches, and fully define "Monetization" strategies.
Can it be done?
I believe so.
Are the best decisions being made now? Are the required skills, people, connections finally in place?Only results in the weeks and months ahead will confirm that but a changed focus and decision structure was essential.
As significant as the company's revenue is, it leaves BB as a relatively small player in a huge competitive environment.
Therefore, my hope is that as well as continuing their quality quest, there are meaningful and constant efforts underway to identify the right partner (s?) for merger.
Not sure who that may be but companies like Intel, Texas Instruments, one of the major South Korean chip makers could ensure the necessary financial resources and market reach.
