Questions

QuestionsA carbon capture project in Alberta by Capital Power was cancelled. Did not make financial sense. Federal Gov't did not follow through on investment tax credits and subsidies. So much for clean hydrogen projects down the road.

At least 4 wind projects in Sask max out at 200MW. Something like BC Hydro, is looking at in their recent power call. A magic number? Onshore construction timeframe 1.5 years. Offshore maybe 4 years?

So where does the Hecate Strait project fit in? Not an expert, but 200MW is small, compared to all the upfront costs required. Can't see it being competitive with onshore wind.

Maybe a dedicated user agreement can be done if BC Hydro allows it. Increasing the size of the project.

Is there a role for offshore wind in BC? This is about a serious amount of electricity output, even during peak demand in winter time.

Has the company found a development partner yet?
