As concerns mount over the Western world's reliance on titanium imports from Russia and China, efforts to bolster domestic production have gained traction. 


The exploration junior Temas Resources (CSE: TMAS | OTCQB: TMASF) focuses on titanium, iron, and vanadium projects in Quebec. TMAS CEO, Tim Fernback, recently shared pivotal updates on the company's endeavors during the 2024 Kinvestor Critical Minerals & Mining Virtual Conference.

The initial PEA findings for La Blache project an impressive net present value (NPV) of $6.6 billion over a 14-year mining span. The forecast anticipates an annual yield of 660,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide, with a payback period of 25 months and an internal rate of return of 60.8%. 


The Lac Brule project, boasting superior-grade deposits close to the surface, also constitutes a valuable asset within the company's portfolio.


Setting a benchmark for eco-conscious mining, Temas Resources is steadfast in its pursuit of environmentally sustainable practices. The company has channeled investments into cutting-edge mineral recovery technologies that prioritize environmental preservation and carbon footprint reduction.


This unique ORF chloride leaching technology, a proprietary innovation developed in collaboration with the University of Minnesota, slashes processing expenses and facilitates the reuse of over 95% of reagents, boasting a remarkable efficiency surge of 144.8% compared to conventional methodologies.
