Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:Worth repeating from BNN...Yup Frank, Well it's no secret that, not only the US, but China and India want Venezuela to come back online. Anyway, I'm 70 years old and just got an email offering me a job here. Things are starting to roll. No spring breakup here. Btw I worked the patch for years in Western Canads. Lots of roads, especially logging roads are all season roads. They don't shut down pulp mills, oil batteries, gas compressor stations during breakup. How about Meg Energy up in Cristina Lake. It's all Muskeg up there. Peat bog and deep. Did they also shut down? Nope. You build all weather roads. Meg must have hauled a lot of aggregate gravel to build that network of roads. Expensive. Maybe that's what bte spent the money on. Did they not clarify?
