garyreins wrote: That in Canada in particular, rates need to be lowered quickly, and housing needs to ramp up and these resedential reits should go through the roof, because of what I attach below.  Situation reaks of an agenda.  Lots of economists also agree with me.  Fire these bumz

Instead, McClenn and his friends are all over the cost of eggs and milk (while not doing much to tame bigger expenses like insurance, and carbon taxes = high gas)

"Housing shortages are blunting the economic benefits of immigration in Canada and other developed countries around the world, Bloomberg reports. While Canada has managed to avoid a post-COVID recession, a per-capita downturn has lowered living standards. Younger generations and newcomers are feeling the effects particularly hard as they struggle with high living costs and home prices that have far outpaced incomes. Bloomberg notes that Canada welcomed 2.4 million people during the past two years — more than New Mexico’s population but built only enough housing for that of Albuquerque."

Wait until more construction projects are completed in Canada and then we will experience more pain. It's far from over. Housing starts are plummeting in spite of higher immigration.
