RE:RE:RE:RE:hpqFacts:
Contrary to Beachbum's statement, directors are paid. Roughly between $19k-$28k. Not a bad gig for the company size.
Over the last six months, for example, no insider had bought any shares on the open market. One has almost completed sale of all of his. One has recently sold 25k shares of his roughly 1 million shares. Some have received new options at the end of the last year.
One recent filing is actually for a sale made last year. Delinquent filing because it was not done within the requiring filing deadline.
Commentary:
Had any insider even bought 25,000 shares, investing a portion of their director compensation, it would have been a different conversation.
Directors should know how their transactions will be perceived.
The CEO is out there in a public interview telling people that they should invest ASAP not to miss the boat.
From my perspective, selling doesn't matter since at these levels I am waiting for results, like many other investors and even potential clients. If I was part of the company, I would do nothing that can even remotely be perceived as inconsistent to the image that the CEO is putting out.
Pretty simple.
