13 years chasing a dream

13 years chasing a dreamDear Pip,
I agree that 13 yearsd is a long time to be chasing a dream.  And to think it all started over a couple of Chinese fishing boats fishing in Japan waters.  Japan catches them and grab the boats and crews.  To get them back China cut off Japan supply of REEs.  Japan lets them go and China slowly turn back on the supply of REEs to Japan.  World panics, REEs prices soar as the world start stockpiping.  The deal for Bokan and the deal with Alaska to mine Bokan.  China flood the market with cheap REEs and prices drop like a lead balloon.  A lot of new deposits were found but nobody could mine because China keep the prices low enough the nobody could make any money.  A lot of companies folded but not Ucore.  The hunt/search for separtion tech.  The first one looked good but was only at lab scale.  That got bumped for MRT and the mad scientist that control it.  It looked good but the guy wanted 40% of the profits to use his tech.  How many years did we waste on that one?  But Ucore learned, the next tech they found looked good and they bought it up front.  No proving the tech and showing someone how valuable the tech is then buying or deal for it.  Then the switch.  One of these years I am going to corner one of Ucore execs and get the story of why that happened.  They were building Demo plant for just the 4 mag metal REES.  Then The big independent testing that takes months and we get just a summary of the test, if that.  Then the switch.  We go from a 4 REEs Demo plant to to a Demo plant that does all 17 of the REEs and battery metals also.  Go from a green site build to a brown site lease and everything is moved up a year.  Then LA commercial plant and the DOD test and Canadian test.  In that 13 years Ucore had zig and zaged to keep the company from going under and our investment becoming worthless. I am sure that you could tell us all about that.
As you have pointed out many, many times it all come down to money.  When Ucore get DOD money for at least the first stage.  Then we are looking at the begining of a monopoly of REE separation outside of China.  How much is that worth. Pip?

PS I hate to break it to you but it aint Scandium.
