Ok, time for a break.
Ok, time for a break. Potential stakeholders have a lot to do and consider before Sept 16th.
According to Oceanic's MD&A, both the provincial and federal governments will have programs which will substantially assist in reducing the levelized cost of the energy produced. 25-45% reduction predicted.
On an offshore project that's big. Plus the ability to provide electricity during Fall & Winter months when most needed and earn a premium price from BC Hydro. Seems that non price factors will be given consideration also.
The winds are also most consistent and strongest at this time. Gross capacity factor over 60% and wind blows 97% of the time.
Also if can produce hydrogen, should receive even higher tax credits. Plus when the wind energy or Hydro is surplus to demand, making green hydrogen will be less costly. Port facilities are being built to accommodate green hydrogen.
Ok, that's does it for me. I best I will post on local news about job openings and the stock price indicators. Nothing being built yet on the refinery site. Just a few deer and a coyote roaming around.
A canola crushing plant will supply the oil to the biodiesel plant. Research is encouraging on using the leftover canola mash for high protein food products. AGT Foods will be involved as well as the refinery. So there will be two different projects, where construction jobs will be needed.
The landfill to the east extracts methane to power a 1MW generator and electricity produced sold to the public utility. Don't know if the goats will be back again. They trimmed off a lot of grass on the landfill hill last year. Avoids spraying the weeds with chemicals.
