RE:RE:Mystery Deepens.... Hmmmmmm????"So, I assumed..." No one, including you can tell me, so I can only assume and then CHECK the Q1 report.
Not a good idea to assume anything. We all know the meaning of "assume".
"So, why does the balance sheet still show Prefer Equity at 699 ???"
Confused, perhaps? Those preferred shares are from "Brookfield Property Partners L.P." as evidenced on Brookfield Property Partners L.P balance sheet. YES they are BPY Prefer as THIS IS BPY's BALANCE SHEET!
This thread is about Brookfield Office Properties Inc preferred shares.
So why do you bother looking at BPY????!!!!!!!! LOL
Note 17 of the financial statements indicates that the book value (par value) of the BPO preferred shares was reduced from $3,070,000,00 to $3,041,000,000 following the purchases (buyback) and cancellations of BPO preferred shares in the first quarter of 2024. Are you ASSUMING this $3,041,000 is Prefered shares? I would say this number represent the COMMON SHARES. I guess you are ASSUMING also the drop in value is due to Buyback, as NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT.
Frankly I do not fully understand the meaning and purpose of many of your posts. You seem to be a cheerleader for BPO preferred shares hoping to influence readers to buy those shares and raise their price so you can sell your shares, maybe. It does not work on this board. You keep showing potential yield (after reset) that have nothing to do with current reality. You keep suggesting or implying $25.00 redemptions that also have nothing to do with BPO reality.
My wife and I are current shareholders of BPO.PR.T and will continue to hold and collect an above average 11%+ tax advantaged yield.
You are wasting your time trying to prove me wrong. Proved you WRONG many many times.... You just refuse to admit it, showing you senile mental state. Actually, it has nothing to do with age, I'm guessing you been this way all your life.
Your posts full of "I think..." and "I assume..." will not influence our investment decisions as they are not based on facts but on your misunderstanding of accounting and investment.
