Another Coarse Estimate of Keats TrenchLength.....200 m
Width......70 meters
High grade depth.....greater than 60 meters
SG.....2.8 tons per cubic meter
1 ounce = 31 grams
Average grade ....10 grams per ton.
Computations are elementary ..70**200**60**2.8**10 = 24 million grams/ 31 = 800,000 ounces.
In a recent previous post using Marathons gold density beneath a sq meter of open pit, I estimated 900,000 ounces.
I would purely guess the range could easily be 400,000 ounces to 1.5 million ounces as extrapolations have a lot of statistical slop.
Regardless, the Keats Trench is an excellent starting point for early mining and/ bulk sampling.
