RE:RE:RE:thoughts for metalDon't get me wrong....while the project is clearly the most robust open pit gold mine on the planet there are issues I have with it.
Why have insiders routinely sold shares instead of buying them?
Salaries, rights, options etc are obscene. They are doing a great job of mining shareholders
Permits.....it ain't over until it's over
Mine life is not particularly long....the payback is ridiculously short but a longer life would be better
Single asset....no room for error if something goes wrong
Snow...they get a lot of it...they say they have a plan but it remains to be seen
Second IR woman to leave the company.....one has a lawsuit going for sexual harrassment
Cost overruns....seems every project out there has blown out cost estimates...could happen here
Rising interest rates
Market crash
Crypto stealing golds thunder....it will never be the same so long as that junk keeps sucking money away from the gold space
Now there's plenty of macro tailwinds too but you can never get starry eyed. Best time to own these things is when a construction decision has been officially made....SKE is close but not across the finish line just yet
