RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:A part of recent historyNo doubt there, they're definately entrepreneurs. That's why I think they'll be number one in the Business jet field. Patience, their position in the field is only just starting. Thanks for your perspective from 2008 to 2015 Temp. Cheers

I like your idea of a JV at the beginning of the C series program.
I agree with the mistakes made from 2008 to 2015 adding new programs over new programs. They are not from a single person.
If I could take some altitude, the fundamental problem was the same that have made the success of Bombardier: They are entrepreneurs ( I don't know if the meaning is exactly the same in english) not professionnal managers.
They start from a ski-doo business and then, from the plastic manufacturing , win the Montreal metro wagons contract (a huge diversification by the size and use of product) to start the trains franchise and grew it to a world scale size.
Then, they buy Canadair and start a revolution with the regional jets bringing people from medium towns to hubs.
Always, putting the entire company at risk to grow faster. An entrepreneur behavior.
That works with small and mid sized companies but somewhere in the time frame a company has to be professionnaly managed. Looks at the internet winners, from garages entrepreneurs they become businessmen.
The transformation didn't happens with the Bombardier-Beaudoin.
The reason of the historic success became the reason of the mess.
Too much, too fast.
