I totally agree that we here are inching away toward quasi-communism, and I blame the Ivory cccoons(universities) are at least die hard socialist, just like in England during the cold war the
most usful and talented spies of the KGB were in Cambridge and Oxford., as professors.
I don't particulailyry think that the American political system is the best, BUT THEY CAN IMPEACH HIGH RANKING POLITICIANS, WHILE WE CANNOT DO IT HERE. That is why we are suffering, due to the inept and incestous government. Also in the US when there is a change from a democrat government to republicans, the non-ellected heads of government tender their resignations, which mey be refused or accepted. In Canada the governing party may change, but the mandarins of the civil service remain. They are next to impossible to dismiss. In effect the change in the goverment here often times mean next to nothing. Just like judges, they hold their positions for life.
There is nepotism, and award contracts to party bagmen..
Privacy is something we used to have in the past, Free speach is free provided it does not offend some group, which may have less than 500 members. The majority no longer rule here.
