Are you kidding me????
- The Canadian economy is far worse. 90K jobs created. mostly parttime work and low paying jobs.
- Jobs fairs open up for something like a 100 entry level job positions and 4000 people line up to apply.
- The worst Capita to GDP ratio, falling productivity. Too many oligopolies in too many industries.
- 50 biggest companies are complaining to Gov't that Canadian Pension plans only have 2% invested in them. Gov't wants to force pension plans to invest more. Pension plan know they will get better returns investing elsewhere.
- All of those EV companies that the Gov't gave billions to, they are importing foreign workers. Most are not Canadian jobs.
- SMR reactors will cost approx $1B each and power 300K homes. Gov't says tax payer won't have to pay for it. Do the math.... at $100 electricity bill per month that is $30M or $360M per year. But who pays $100 per month. Its more like $150, hence that is more like $500M revenue per year. Within 2-3 years, one SMR will pay for itself and the rest of the gravy would go back to the tax payer. But that isn't happening, it is going to investors. There are numerous examples of this, such as the New Ontario Science Center going to be run by an Australian company with a 99 year lease and collects all profit while most of the build is being paid by tax payers.
- Same is the build of new senior home. The companies that were involved in scandals during the COVID crisis are getting more govenment funding to build more, but not one of them was fined or went to jail for letting seniors starve and die.
- In every other democracy, it takes approx 10 years to get a mine up and running. In Canada its 25 years.
- Canada has too much bureaucrasy and no one comes to invest here unless the Government greases the wheels on the tax payers backs.
- One of Canada's largest banks which has been deemed "Too Big to Fail", has been caught in a money laundering of Chinese fentanyl. And last year, they were cause in a Ponzi Scheme. Now the US regulators could fine them $2B and put a moritorium on their aquisition growth like they did with HSBC such that HSBC stopped doing business in the US.
- Canada has the same number of people working in the governement as the US but we are 1/10 their size.
- Canada's well educates are going to the US. And Canada's governent is getting their replacement from third world countries. How backward is that?
- The Canadian government is taxing the Heall out of its citizens and then at the same time saying they are trying to make things fair for everyone. They are slowing taking the rights away from citizens. They will put your kids in $10/day daycare (which is failing) and tell you which daycare you go to, put your seniors in a senior home (but can place your parents up to 100 KM from where you live), have a school food program for grade school children that don't have enough to eat, but there will limit on the types of food that will be servered. In a multicultural society, not all foods served will meet the requirements of everyone, hence the govenment is dictating what people can eat. Why doesn't our govenment stop taxing the heall out of its people so people can make choices themselves.....and this list goes on and on....
- So please don't tell me my country is in good shape and is a wonderful place. And it is going to get far worse before it gets better.
- And the only reason why Almonty is such a gold nugget, is because the Canadian government hasn't gotten their hands on it.
- Now that I am done with my rant. Canada is a great place to come visit, but I don't recommend you plan to live here and think twice before investing.
I live here and I am unaffected, my entire circle of friends and family are relatively unaffected. You need two jobs in this country to get ahead, the taxation is out of control but you can still "make hay". I hope that Almonty changes everyone's life for the better.
You have been a great resource on this board. Today you were found to be misrepresenting a lot of facts and misquoting a lot of hard numbers.
I'm on your team and hope the best for you
