RE:RE:RE:Is cesium worth the attention? you decideI suppose you can look at it that way BH, but I would ask why not create collaborators and partners instead? Even if they started the process of permitting and building a mine tomorrow, as I mentioned, it would be many years before the first earth is moved. How would they survive that long? How would they get funding which could be enormous to build the mine? In the end, I don't see Cascadero as much a mining company per se but more of an exploration company that goes out to greenfields and finds ore deposits and then partners with someone else or outright sells the property once it has been sufficiently and convincingly characterized. But even that changes dramatically with an advance in technology which they can own through a patent .....but only temporarily. Remember that a patent is a burning candle so if they spend the first 7-10 years building a mine they have burned about 50-60% of that candle. I agree if we were a well-established major mining company with income streams all over the place we could afford such a venture. But we are the absolute opposite of that. A fledgling company trying to keep the lights on with a market cap of a couple million dollars. A licensing can happen overnight and start an income stream much more rapidly.
All of the above assumes that the patented invention works and is profitable when used. If not, forget about it. Patents may be neat ideas but the great overwhelming majority of them are worthless in practice. Something to keep in mind. JMHO.
