Due Diligence

Due DiligenceRecently took a small position. Thought I did enough of MODD, but now I wonder. I feel as though I was a little late to the party.
Cursory research suggested that REVG was a player in the battery powered school bus segment.
Then I find out they sold that part of their business and paid out a big fat special dividend with some of the proceeds.
Can anyone tell me what was behind that strategy? I was under the impression that the segment had good prospects with very few players.
The SP seems to be holding up pretty well and an earnings report is upcoming. Guess I'll find out a little of what the company's prospects are.
