$51 per hour and wanting more?Soooo, if heavy duty mechanics get $51 per hour and think that's sufficient reason to go on strike, I would assume they want at least 10% more. So $56 per hour. That is a skilled position, but I can't see an equipment operator wanting a lot less.
$56 per X 40 hr/wk X 52 weeks = $116,480 annually. In Williams Lake???
It's been a few years since I was in the labour pool. That kind of money might be totally justified for someone working in Vancouver, or Fort McMurray or San Francisco.
